Hello!  

I’m Sarah a landscape artist working from a wee corner of my home in Scotland. 

When I was young I loved to paint quirky landscapes featuring old farms and decaying farm machinery using gouache. As I got older, my career kicked off, children arrived and I painted less and less. Despite this I still loved to go out with a camera to take photos of things I planned to: ‘paint later’. 

The kids are grown and over the last few years I've found the time and space to pick up my brushes and start producing again... and I love that it's back in my life.  I’ve binned the gouache and discovered acrylic paint which offers so much to my style of landscapes.

It’s hard to find a more atmospheric and beautiful landscape to paint than Scotland - it’s not just my physical and spiritual home, but very much my artistic home too. The light and weather in Scotland can change minute to minute, hour to hour and day to day which offers so many options for the same view.
